Temporary lane closures on NE 19th Avenue delayed until mid-January

Motorists in northeast Ocala can expect temporary lane closures on NE 19th Avenue, from NE 28th Street to NE 35th Street, beginning on Monday, January 15 through Friday, January 19, 2024.

Miller Pipeline LLC’s crews will be installing a sanitary force main and connecting it to a manhole located at the intersection of NE 19th Avenue and NE 29th Street, according to the Marion County Office of the County Engineer.

This construction project was originally scheduled to begin on December 4, 2023, though the county rescheduled it for the first week of January 2024. On Friday, December 29, 2023, the Office of the County Engineer announced that the project has experienced another delay and will instead begin in mid-January.

Miller Pipeline’s equipment and personnel will be in the county right-of-way. Crews will place barricades and signs to direct traffic through the work zones.

Travelers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. Adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances may affect schedules.
