Lane closure along stretch of road near Ocala distribution centers

A stretch of road that’s near several distribution centers in Ocala will experience a temporary lane closure next week.

On Monday, Marion County officials announced that the northernmost westbound lane of NW 35th Street will be closed between NW 20th Avenue and NW 27th Avenue from April 11 through April 18.

The stretch of the road is just a few blocks from several of Ocala’s large distribution centers, including AutoZone and Amazon.

According to the county, Miller Construction Company will construct an entrance for street improvements associated with the city-approved project Antebellum.

Workers and equipment will be located in the county’s right of way and crews will place barricades and signs to direct traffic through the work zones.

Travelers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible.

Adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances may affect schedules, according to the county.
