City surveying residents, businesses about trash collection services

The City of Ocala Public Works department is surveying residents and businesses this week to gather feedback on the city’s sanitation collection practices.

The telephone survey will take place from Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3. A random sample of calls will be made to residents and businesses from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

According to city officials, the phone numbers that will appear will be 352-240-1916 or 352-448-7784.

The telephone survey will be conducted by Baldrige Group, LLC, a consulting firm based in Sarasota.

The city says the surveys will help the Public Works department understand opinions about collection practices and will help guide decision-making on sanitation collection in the future.

The survey will maintain the anonymity of customers who participate and no information will reveal answers to the survey questions, according to the city.
