Erica Marie Brooks

Erica Marie Brooks
Erica Marie Brooks

My daughter Erica Marie Brooks was born in Newark Delaware where we lived until she was 11 years old. She grew up in Belleview Florida and went to the Belleview Santos’s elementary Belleview middle school and graduated from Belleview high School in 2005.

She had many friends in and around our neighborhood. Crazy (in a good way) bunch of kids. The bus stop was one of the largest in Belleview, we loved them all..

She’s a great mother, wonderful daughter and a grat friend and confidant to whoever needed her ear or shoulder.. She gave the best hugs, the tight squeezy kind. And I am lucky to have been chosen to be her mother. She loved her children, she was a single parent who took on the responsibility of raising and autistic son and a young daughter without help or without whining about it.

When she was a little girl she was on the local cheerleading squad up north in de and won first place in first grade individual competition.

When Erica attended Belleview high School, she was on the flag squad and was very proud of her school.

She loved deeply, she loved her parents, her sister deeply, And she loved her younger brother immensely along with his daughter, her first niece who she spoiled a lot. She gave her whole heart and we loved her. She was trying to better her life by going to school for medical billing. To improve her life, to improve the life of her children. To give them everything they needed and deserved.

My daughter loved sugar skulls and drawing. She loved trying different makeup techniques. But she didn’t need that cuz she was beautiful all by herself. She was a great doodler. And if she would have had a little bit more self-confidence she could have been a great artist.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hiers Baxley Funeral Services, located at 5946 SE Robinson Roadin Belleview.
