Crumbl Cookies officially opened its first location in Ocala on Friday.
Located at 4414 SW College Road, Suite 325, a steady flow of customers made their way to the new cookie shop on Friday, with many taking advantage of a “free cookie” promotion to celebrate the grand opening.

The new franchise location is owned by Tanner and Karli Reaveley, two natives of Utah, where Crumbl was founded in 2017.
“When we moved to Florida we knew that people needed Crumbl in their lives. We are very excited to share our love for Crumbl with the Ocala community,” reads a statement shared by the Reaveleys.

First announced by Ocala-News.com in February, the new Crumbl is located within Market Street at Heath Brook, just a couple doors down from a new Great Greek Mediterranean Grill that is currently under construction in the former Pie-O-Mine space.
On Saturday, the shop was filled with employees busily working on batch after batch of the company’s signature cookies.

Crumbl was co-founded by cousins Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley. In just seven years, the franchise has grown to approximately 1,023 locations across the country, according to its website.
The new location in Ocala is the first Crumbl Cookies in Marion County, joining others in Lake and Alachua Counties. There is another Crumbl Cookies in the works in Sumter County (The Villages) as well.

Currently, there are at least 75 Crumbl locations across the state of Florida, ranking the Sunshine State second after California and Texas.
