A new Chipotle has opened its doors in southwest Ocala, less than a week after the city’s first Sprouts Farmers Market opened next door.
Chipotle celebrated the grand opening of its new location at 8440 SW State Road 200 on Thursday, July 17. The new restaurant is next to the recently opened Sprouts within the Corta Commons development, which was approved in May 2024.
Although an online listing originally reported Chipotle’s opening date as late May, the actual opening date came just a few months after Ocala-News.com first reported about the restaurant.
The new Chipotle features a drive-thru lane that the company has coined “Chipotlane.”
Since opening the original Chipotle in Ocala at 2645 SW College Road, the Mexican chain has now opened two additional locations.
In addition to the new location in southwest Ocala, which is around 8 miles from the first Chipotle, the company opened its second location in Ocala along East Silver Springs Boulevard in 2023.
The new Chipotle is open seven days a week, from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., recently announced plans to open hundreds of stores across the country this year. As of mid-July, there are over 3,700 Chipotle restaurants in operation across the world.
