Plans show a new Wawa sought in Summerfield
The tenth Wawa location in Marion County is planned for a site at the intersection of SE 147th Place and U.S. Highway 441.

Wawa is continuing its aggressive expansion across Marion County, with plans underway for its tenth location since entering the local marketplace in 2019.

The Marion County Development Review Committee is scheduled to look over the latest off-site and major site plan revisions for the proposed gas station during its regular meeting on Monday, July 13.

The new location is slated for a site in south Marion County, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 441 and SE 147th Place. The new address will be 14700 S. U.S. Highway 441 in Summerfield.

According to county records, the application for the project was originally submitted by Amprop Enterprises Summerfield LLC, with Native Engineering, PLLC handling the engineering plans.

The proposed development features a standard, 5,915-square-foot Wawa convenience store along with a gas station canopy. The site will also feature a private sanitary sewer lift station.

The upcoming Summerfield location marks the tenth total Wawa store planned within Marion County borders.

Wawa officially made its grand entry into the local market in April 2019, simultaneously opening its first three Ocala gas stations at 3601 E. Silver Springs Blvd., 1001 S. Pine Ave., and 3312 W. Silver Springs Blvd.
