A 10-acre equestrian estate in southwest Ocala was just sold for $1.325 million.
Sellers Eric and Angela Yates finalized the sale of the property, located at 901 SW 87th Place, to buyer Demetric W. Lecorn on June 26. The official deed for the transaction was recorded by the Marion County Clerk of Courts on Tuesday, July 7.

The primary home on the property is a multi-story, four-bedroom, three-bathroom residence.
Designed to accommodate equestrian operations, the property is equipped with five individual paddocks and a four-stall, center-aisle barn that includes a built-in one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment.
Marion County property records indicate that the Yates family previously purchased the farm for $800,000 from Robert and Mary Moore in April 2021.

The most recent transaction continues a steady wave of large equine and agricultural real estate activity across Marion County over the first half of the year.
Recent developments in the local market include a 40-acre farm in west Marion County that sold for $1.2 million, another Ocala horse farm that changed hands for $1.5 million, and an Ocala equine breeders’ that sold for over $5 million.
Even larger real estate transactions include the sale of 600 acres in west Marion County for $6 million to a luxury horse farm developer and the sale of a northwest Marion County horse farm for $2.45 million.
Early this year, the owners of the World Equestrian Center purchased 13 acres next to their Ocala campus for $1.2 million alongside another nearby farm that they acquired for $4.5 million.
Other notable sales in the region over the winter and spring months include another large horse farm near the World Equestrian Center that sold for $4 million, a 24-acre horse farm in northeast Marion that sold for $1.45 million, a historic 224-acre farm with a legacy of breeding Kentucky Derby winners that sold for $6.5 million, and a northwest Ocala horse farm that commanded $6.1 million.
