A 26-year-old Ocala man was killed early Saturday morning when his vehicle overturned after striking a utility pole.
The man had been driving a pickup truck at 2:10 a.m. on SE 73rd Street approximately a half mile east of U.S. Hwy. 441 in Ocala approaching a railroad track when he lost control of the vehicle, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The pickup struck a utility pole and overturned on its side. The driver, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
