Georgianna Copeland, 78, passed away after a short illness on September 11, 2021.
Georgie was born in Miami, Florida. She worked for Metropolitan Dade County for 30 years, 1966 to 1996. She retired to Ocala in 1996. She and her husband John Michael Copeland were avid sports fans with season tickets to watch the University of Miami Hurricanes and Miami Dolphins. Unfortunately Michael preceded Georgianna in death along with her parents E. C. “Tony” and Dorothy Wilcox. Geogianna and Michael had no children and is survived by her “Soul Sister” through infancy, grade & high School, and life, Rose Marie Winesett; and many many fine & kind friends. A service will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at HIERS-BAXLEY Funeral Services-TimberRidge, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, FL 34481, with visitation one hour prior. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala, FL.
