Belleview Community Center hosting free nutrition and physical education program for ages 60 and up

A free nutrition and physical education program for seniors over the age of 60 is beginning this week at the Belleview Community Center.

The first “Fresh Conversations” class, which is being presented by the Florida Department of Health in Marion County, will take place on Thursday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Belleview Community Center (5615 SE 110th Place).

Fresh Conversations will provide local seniors with information regarding how to maintain health and independence through the use of nutrition and physical education. Participants will receive a monthly newsletter that focuses on current health topics, and each issue will also include low-cost healthy recipes, puzzles, games, and more.

For more information, please contact Melissa Marino, Health Educator at the Florida Department of Health in Marion County, at 352-644-2710.
