Ocala’s Cattle Drive and Cowboy Round-Up returns on February 11

The City of Ocala’s popular Cattle Drive and Cowboy Round-Up will return on Saturday, February 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to celebrate Central Florida’s ranching and cattle history.

On the day of the event, the festivities will kick off at 10 a.m. as real cowboys drive Florida cracker cattle through downtown Ocala to Tuscawilla Park (829 NE Sanchez Avenue).

Throughout the event, attendees will be treated to live entertainment, cowboy demonstrations, mechanical bull rides, a farm animal petting zoo, and a kid’s corral with family-friendly games. In addition, a variety of food trucks and craft vendors will be on site.

The event will also feature the Marion Rotary Duck Derby. At 1 p.m., the Rotary clubs of Marion County will race thousands of rubber ducks on Lake Tuscawilla.

Duck adoptions are available for $5 (one duck), $25 (six ducks), or $100 (24 ducks), and proceeds from the fundraising activity will benefit the Discovery Center. At the end of the race, cash prizes will be awarded for first place ($2,000), second place ($1,000), and third place ($500) finishes.

The event is free and open to the public.
