Homeless man arrested after second trespassing offense at On Top of the World in less than a month

Timothy Richard Connors

A homeless man was arrested for trespassing Thursday at On Top of the World after receiving a warning for the same offense less than a month ago.

Timothy Richard Connors, 44, was taken into custody after the general manager of the retirement community called Marion County deputies for help.

When a deputy first spoke with Connors, he said he was “hanging out in the area.” Connors confirmed to a deputy that he had been trespassed from Top of the World’s property in the past but said he didn’t realize the area he was in was owned by the community.

A check of Connors’ background showed that he had received a trespass warning at On Top of the World on June 15.

Connors was transported to the Marion County Jail and charged with trespassing. According to the jail’s website, he is scheduled to be released Monday at midnight.
