Betty Jo Amidei

It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Jo Amidei announce her passing on Sunday January 27, 2019 at the age of 75 years. She was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 28, 1943 to Edna (Newcomb) Putt and Homer Putt. She moved to Ocala, Florida where she grew up.

Betty is survived by her loving husband James Amidei; and is lovingly remembered by her daughters Victoria Poole (David) of Ocala; Angela Barker (Jon) of Clearwater; and her stepsons Jim Amidei (Jenny), Evan Amidei (Christina) and stepdaughter Nicole Amidei of Ocala. Betty will also be fondly remembered by her twelve grandchildren David A. (Alexandria) Poole ; Crystal Roland ; Joshua Barker; Diandre Mattox, Ziren Turner, Kayson Turner, Eli Amidei, Wyatt Amidei, Noah Amidei, Aubrey Amidei, Addy Amidei, and A. J. Amidei. She will also be fondly remembered by her five great grandchildren Hayden, Caliper, Davalen, Kyndle, and Merrick. She is survived by her three siblings Johnny Hendrix, Jimmy Hendrix, and Mary McIlvoy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and dear friends.

She is predeceased by her four siblings Pearl McCall, Clinton Putt, Vera Putt, and Danny Hendrix.

Graveside services will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 5740 S. Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida on Monday February 4, 2019 at 2pm.
