The NAACP Marion County Branch will host its 40th Annual Freedom Fund & Awards Gala on Friday, April 26, 2019. The Lifetime Membership Reception will begin at 6 p.m. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Holiday Inn & Suites Conference Center, located at 3600 SW 58th Avenue.
This year’s theme is “Every generation has its moment….this is ours!” The gala honors the culture, perseverance, determination, and achievements of the NAACP. This year’s speaker will be State Attorney Aramis Ayala of the Ninth Judicial Circuit.
The Marion Branch of the NAACP has worked diligently since 1923 to achieve economic equality, with a commitment to attain and sustain equality and justice for all people. As a result, the Marion Branch Freedom Fund Gala has established itself as one of the premier events in the City of Ocala where the branch celebrates the diverse accomplishments of everyone throughout the community. Awards will be announced at the Gala.
