Citra woman accused of bopping man in nose during nasty spat

Rose Ann Gray

A Citra woman was arrested after she allegedly punched a man in the nose during a domestic altercation.

Rose Ann Gray, 37, was charged with simple domestic battery after the incident, which happened Wednesday night. The victim told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy he and Gray, who have lived together for 10 years, got into an argument at a friend’s house earlier in the day, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The victim said law enforcement was called to the scene and officers took Gray to another friend’s house. The victim said he returned to his home later in the evening, and Gray came home and started another verbal altercation that turned physical. He said Gray punched him in the nose and scratched his left forearm. The deputy observed the victim’s nose was red and he had a scratch on his left forearm, the report said.

The victim declined medical attention and was provided domestic violence paperwork. A witness told the deputy that Gray called him requesting a ride to the incident location to feed her animal. Gray declined to be interviewed about the incident, according to the report.

Gray was taken to the Marion County Jail, where she was being held Friday on $750 bond. She’s scheduled to appear in Marion County Jail on Nov. 7.
