Dunnellon man ‘tussles’ with woman who tried to make him go to work

Angel Valle

A 19-year-old Dunnellon man is accused of battering a woman during an argument over him not wanting to get up and go to work.

Angel Valle, of SW 90th Street, was charged Monday with aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability. The victim told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy she and Valle got into an argument because he wouldn’t get up and go to work.

The victim said Valle had been drinking the night before and has had trouble keeping a job recently. She said she was sitting on the edge of the bed when Valley pushed her off the bed onto the floor next to the stand-alone closet, according to the sheriff’s office report.

The victim said she had recently packed up some items, in case she decided to leave Valle, and placed them along with her light-up vanity mirror on top o the closet. She said Valle said, “So, you want to leave,” and pulled the items off the top of the closet and “flung” them on top of her, the report said.

The victim said the vanity mirror struck the victim on the top of her head, causing a laceration. She said she got to the keys to the truck and drove to her mother’s house, according to the report.

Valle told the deputy that he and the victim got into “tussle” that caused the vanity mirror to fall and strike her on the head. He said the victim tried to wake him up or work and he didn’t feel good. Valle said he gave the victim the keys to the truck and told her to leave, the report said.

Valle was taken to the Marion County Jail, where he was released Tuesday on $2,000 bond. He will appear in Marion County Court on Oct. 6.
