New playground equipment is coming to the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Complex.
The playground, located at 1510 N.W. Fourth Street, is temporarily closed. Old equipment will be removed and replaced with new playground equipment. The area is expected to reopen Wednesday, April 7.
Public safety during construction remains a priority. The project area will be fenced for the duration of the playground installation. Staff will make every effort to minimize the disturbance to park activities, however, during construction park goers may experience noise and heavy equipment within the project area.
