Cody’s Original Roadhouse will break ground on its new southwest Ocala location tomorrow morning, with plans to open the restaurant at the beginning of 2022.
The parent company, Cody’s American Restaurants (CAR), made the announcement today through a press release.
CAR currently operates Cody’s Original Roadhouse locations at Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood Paddock Square in The Villages.
According to the release, the new location will feature an outdoor patio with live entertainment, as well as a putting green and corn hole boards.
The new restaurant plans to open in January. The contractor for the project is Tallen Construction. Hiring for the new location will begin in December.
The previous Cody’s Original Roadhouse in Ocala that shut down before the COVID-19 pandemic was not part of the CAR organization, according to the release.
The new restaurant joins a long list of others that have open door will open new locations in Ocala, including Mellow Mushroom, Cantina Tex-Mex Restaurant, and Culver’s.
