A costume event for both kids and dogs is coming to downtown Ocala this Halloween.
The Senior Resource Foundation of Ocala is hosting Bark in the Park – A Doggy Expo on October 31 at the Ocala Downtown Market.
This free event is from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and features a variety of candy, several costume contests, food trucks, music, and vendor booths.
A kids costume contest begins at 1:30 p.m., with the best costume winner receiving toys and a Mojo’s gift certificate. After the contest, a parade for the participating kids is scheduled at 2:00 p.m., and a dogs costume contest follows at 2:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the event go to Meals on Wheels America and Marion County Animal Services.
