The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is turning to the public for help in identifying a woman who stole a victim’s purse from a daycare parking lot.
According to an MCSO Facebook posting, a victim reported her purse stolen on Monday, November 22 at around 7:30 a.m.
The purse had been taken from her vehicle which was parked at Triumphant Tots Daycare located at 1425 NE 93rd Street in Ocala.
The woman pictured below entered the Walmart located at 4980 E Silver Springs Boulevard around 20 minutes after the purse was stolen. She attempted to use the victim’s debit and credit cards to purchase $800 in gift cards.
The purchase attempt was unsuccessful. She proceeded to leave the store and entered the white car pictured below.
A witness told MCSO deputies that a similar white four-door sedan was seen near the daycare around the time of the theft and was being driven by a white male wearing a yellow jacket.
