Children will be competing in various engineering challenges during an upcoming free event at the Discovery Center.
Engineering Day is being held on Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center located at 7101 NE Sanchez Avenue in Ocala.
During the event, participating children between the ages of 5 and 15 will get to plan, build, test, and compete in specialized challenges alongside professionals in the engineering field. Event attendees will also be treated to a pizza lunch.
All children under the age of 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
The deadline to register for this event is Friday, February 25 at 5 p.m. Adults do not need to register.
