Marion Cultural Alliance accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for 2022-2023 grant cycle

Marion Cultural Alliance has announced that applications, guidelines, and review criteria are now available online for the 2022-2023 grant cycle.

Nonprofit organizations have until 5 p.m. on Friday, June 10 to submit an application for up to $5,000 in funding. The Grants Committee will recommend a list of grant recipients, and MCA will award up to $30,000 in funding to those organizations.

Eligible organizations include those involved in fine arts, performing arts, arts education, and historical or scientific museums. The organizations must also be a public entity governed by a county, municipality, school district, community college, university or an agency, or designated as a 501 (c) (3) or (4) organization.

Beginning on Monday, May 2 through Friday, May 20, MCA’s Cultural Grant Chair Trish Kilgore and her staff will offer a courtesy review of each organization’s concept and/or application.

According to MCA, a total of $415,000 has been awarded to arts organizations within the community, and $30,000 was awarded last year.

The selected organizations for this year’s grant funding will receive a check at the 2022 Applaud the Arts which will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 8 at the Reilly Arts Center (500 NE 9th Street in Ocala).
