‘Reading with Rangers & Friends’ program heading to Toms Park

The Reading with Rangers & Friends program will be making its next stop at Toms Park on Friday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to noon.

An Ocala Park Ranger and special guests from the Ocala Police Department will visit the park, which is located at 2245 N Magnolia Avenue, to read some fun stories to the children in attendance.

During last week’s event at the Heritage Nature Conservancy, a park ranger was joined by the Ocala Police Department. The children went on a ‘Bear Hunt,’ joined Clifford the Big Red Dog at school, and learned about becoming a police officer.

  • Scott Springs Park (2825 SW 24th Avenue) on July 22.
  • Citizens’ Circle (151 SE Osceola Avenue) on July 29.

The events are free to attend and open to the public. Registration is not required, and all visitors are encouraged to pack a snack, blanket, or chair.
