Arzetta Harris McGill passed away peacefully in her home on July 21, 2022, and the sun now shines less brightly. Her absence leaves a daughter without a shopping companion and a son without a joyriding partner and taking her to church. Arzetta was a devoted wife and mother whose family adored her.
Arzetta is predeceased by her parents the late Mr. & Mrs. Martin and Henrietta Harris, (sister) Sylvia Marie Sims, and (brother) Harvey Harris Sr. She is survived by her husband Jeremiah McGill, Sr., Ocala, FL, brother Arthur Harris (the late Lettie B) , Hollywood FL, Sr., daughter Margie McGill-Bonadies (Gerald) Melbourne FL , son Jeremiah McGill, Jr, Tampa FL, Edward McGill (Maxine) brother in law, New York, Mahdi Karim (brother in law) Gainesville FL, Shirley Butler (sister in law) Daytona Beach FL, Barbara Harris (sister in law) Reddick, FL, Marvia McGill (sister in law) New Jersey and loving granddaughter Jonia McGill, Ocala FL with host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Arzetta was educated in Marion County. She was employed with Lockheed Martin for 20 years; volunteered at the Marion Co Sheriff Office “Homeland Security” for 14 years (which she loved) and a crossing guard at Maplewood Elementary School. Arzetta was a faithful servant, caring and humble soul that would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. Always believing in the possible not impossible.
