Mr. Isaiah N. Cogdell Jr., 86 transitioned to be with his heavenly father on January 25, 2023, at HCA Ocala Regional Medical Center.
He was a graduate of Howard Academy High School (Class of 1954). He served in The United States Army and was a proud member of Wesley United Methodist Church now known as Wesley United Community Church, Ocala, Florida.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his beloved wife, LaVerne Kendrick Cogdell of 65 years, and daughter, Twila Cogdell Dyous(Johnnie).
(4) grandchildren: Shanay Cogdell, Treasure Leach, Kiana Cogdell, and Jaiden Dyous. (3) siblings: Barbara Gilbert, Roland Cogdell(Cynthia), and Mildred Green. (1) sister-in-law, Sharon Kendrick Johnson(Honorable William),(1) brother-in-law) James Kendrick(Angela), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Isaiah was preceded in death by his late parents Isaiah and Tena Hamilton Cogdell; children Mellonelee Cogdell and Isaiah N. Cogdell III and brother Grant U. Cogdell
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Wesley United Community Church, Rev. Miquell Mack, Pastor.
