Flooding at Ocala Drive-in

The Ocala Drive-in has been forced to close due to flooding from the heavy rainfall that has drenched Marion County over the past few days.

As of Thursday evening, water continues to cover most areas surrounding the Ocala Drive-in, which is located at 4850 S Pine Avenue in Ocala.

Marion County is no stranger to rainfall, and the Ocala Drive-in is typically open seven nights a week, even in rainy conditions. Due to the abundance of water surrounding the theater courtesy of this week’s severe weather, the venue had no choice but to shut down.

According to the Ocala Drive-in’s owner, John Watzke, the theater will reopen as soon as all the water has been pumped out.
