Precautionary boil water notice rescinded for six communities in Marion County

Marion County Utilities has rescinded a precautionary boil water notice for homes and businesses within the Bluefields, Delcrest, Fort King Forest, Hi Cliff, Regency Estates, and Sleepy Hollow communities.

On Tuesday, August 1, the boil water notice was issued as a precaution after emergency repairs were conducted on a water main.

According to a release from the county, Marion County Utilities has recorded the mandated number of successful bacteriological surveys to deem the water safe to drink as per the guidelines set by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

All affected customers are being notified via emails, interactive community calls, media release, and social media.
