To the Editor:
It’s not just too much growth in Ocala/Marion County, it’s the wrong growth. Why do we need a gas station or a car wash on every corner? We live on the east side of the county, and we cannot find a book store on our side of the county. We also cannot find a craft or fabric store on the east side of the county, and forget about decent retail because there is none. Everything has been put west of Pine Avenue so driving for those living on the east side means going 10 or 15 miles to get anything, which adds to the congestion on the roads. We need an intelligent growth plan, we do not need to be building more and more homes that add to the traffic problems.
