To the Editor:
Greed is driving more and more plots of land to be razed, leaving no trees or cover for wildlife. People wonder why it’s hotter than in previous years; it’s because of the destruction of land and trees. Why are there more bears and wildlife noted in neighborhoods? We are tearing down their habitat.
There are more houses going into Marion Oaks when no one is buying them. Why can’t developers leave Ocala alone? The city is losing its country charm, becoming another overcrowded, crime-ridden city. More building, more traffic, more crime…its terrible. Here’s an idea: make people refurbish old abandon businesses instead of building more.
Please leave Ocala alone. People, watch out who you are voting for and who allows the over-development.
