Ocala police are investigating a shooting incident at a local mobile home that left one person dead and another injured on Thursday evening.
Shortly after 5 p.m., officers responded to the Wagon Wheel mobile home park located at 1612 NE 25th Avenue in reference to a domestic shooting incident, according to the Ocala Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers found a deceased man inside a residence. His name and age were not released by police.
OPD stated that an unidentified woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.
“Detectives are actively investigating this incident,” stated OPD on its Facebook page. No further details were provided in the post.
