Marion County firefighters were dispatched to a home located in the Oak Run community on Sunday morning after receiving reports of a structure fire.
Shortly before 6:10 a.m., several Marion County Fire Rescue units responded to the 8000 block of SW 108th Loop in Ocala. A 911 caller had reported that smoke was entering a home due to a fire that had ignited in the garage, according to MCFR.
The first MCFR unit arrived on scene at 6:17 a.m., and additional firefighters soon arrived at the residence.
Firefighters observed a “working fire” within the garage. After removing a section of the garage door, firefighters gained entry and began blasting the flames with water.
By 6:35 a.m., the fire was called under control.
There were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters at the scene.
The cause and origin of the fire is currently under investigation, according to MCFR.
