Roslyn Hancock Roffey

Roslyn Hancock Roffey passed away March 9, 2024. She was born in Salem, MA to Roscoe and Evelyn Brewer Hancock. She attended Salem High School class of 1955 and went on to earn a Teacher’s Certificate at Perry Normal School in Boston, MA. Upon graduation, she commenced her teaching career in San Diego, CA where her husband was stationed in the U.S. Navy.

In 1960, she returned to MA to raise her family of three children. In 1996 she moved to Marion County with her husband to establish Fair Winds Farm. She was an accomplished artist, enjoyed working with flowers and various plants as well as playing golf.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Curt. She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Roffey and her children Sharen and spouse Jon Solomon, and Chris and spouse Nicolene Roffey. She had ten grandchildren, Andrew, Allison, Cameron, Connor, Christian, Elizabeth, CJ, Michele, Lauren and Mathew. Four great grandchildren, Mia, Brady, Jack, and William.
