Marion Oaks, Summerglen homes under boil water notice

A collection of homes and businesses in Marion Oaks and Summerglen are under boil water notices.

Marion County officials issued two boil water notices for the communities on Monday. While the notice for Marion Oaks was effective beginning Monday, the notice for Summerglen goes into effect at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10.

The following homes and businesses in Marion Oaks are included in the  notice: 15641, 15629, 15616, 15601, 15600, 15543, 15491, 15483, 15475 SW 46th Ave Rd – 4640 SW 155th Pl Rd

The following homes in Summerglen are included in the advisory: 13451, 13600, 13545, 13561 SW 17th Ct, 1800 SW Hwy 484 Unit B, 1800 SW Hwy 484 Unit A, 1794 SW Hwy 484, 1525 SW Hwy 484, 1655 SW Hwy 484 # 1, # 2, 1665 SW Hwy 484 Units # 101, # 102, # 103, # 104, # 105, # 106, 1791 SW Hwy 484, 1805 SW Hwy 484, 1770, 1751 SW 134th St, 13150 SW 16th Ave, 2019, 2045, 2065, 2095, 2075, 2109, 2115, 2119, 2127, 2240, 2020 SW Hwy 484, 2020 SW 135th St.

According to county officials, the planned notice for Summerglen will be in effect until 4 a.m. Thursday, April 11, and will cause an “interruption” to water service.

All residents must “boil water used for consumption until the water is tested and results indicate the water is safe to drink,” according to county officials.

This boil water notice applies to any water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, etc. Water used for laundry, bathing and/or showering does not need to be boiled.

Marion County Utilities will test water and advise when the boil water notice is lifted.
