What should Ocala look like in 25 years? City seeking ‘Vision 2050’ survey responses

Ocala officials are still seeking input from residents for a “vision” document that will act as a blueprint for the city’s future.

The city is still accepting responses to two separate online surveys for its Vision 2050 comprehensive plan, which will act as a roadmap for the city’s future.

The Vision 2050 plan is built upon community consensus to promote continued support and implementation of projects over time, according to city officials.

Over the past several weeks, city officials have hosted meetings to collect in-person feedback on the plan.

Now that the in-person meetings are over, the city is encouraging residents to provide feedback online through a pulse survey or a mapping survey.

The pulse survey allows respondents to briefly explain their areas of focus and provide information for future planning and development initiatives.

According to the city, the mapping exercise allows respondents to identify specific areas that should “remain unchanged or require improvement in the future.”

Both surveys will remain open for responses until Friday, April 19, according to city officials.

“By mapping out these details, the city can better prioritize resources and efforts to address community needs effectively,” reads a statement from the city.
