A luxury jeweler that sells its merchandise at thousands of retailers across the world will soon begin construction on a new location in Ocala.

Pandora will start construction on its new location at the Paddock Mall (3100 SW College Road) in Ocala in the coming days, according to mall officials.

The new facility will take over the former space of Perfekta, a Colombian shapewear store that is moving into a different space.

Founded in 1982 in Copenhagen, Denmark, the jewelry brand launched its famous charm bracelet concept in 2000.

After selling those charms and its other merchandise at shops and boutiques around the world, in 2006, the company opened its first concept store in Hamburg, Germany.

Now, Pandora products are sold in more than 70 countries, including 900 concept stores and over 10,000 “points of sale,” according to the company.

Although there are currently two authorized dealers selling Pandora’s merchandise in Ocala, the new location at the Paddock Mall will be the first standalone Pandora in the area.

Reeds Jewelers, which opened at the Paddock Mall in 2021, is one of the two authorized dealers. Agapanthus, a boutique in downtown Ocala, is the other.

The Paddock Mall continues to see a constant state of change in its retail offering, with new additions including Blossom Juicy Bar, MINISO, and Florida Fishin’ Apparel, and Windsor.

Construction crews are also making brisk progress at the new Popeyes coming to the food court, as well as the new Paddock Market, which will feature a collection of vendors and artisans.
