Construction of a new Tractor Supply in east Marion County is complete, with the facility planning to open its doors later this month.
The Tractor Supply located at 16120 State Road 40 in Silver Springs will open to the public on March 29, according to an online listing for the company.
Located next to a Marion County Sheriff’s Office substation, the new Tractor Supply has been under construction since last year. Ocala-News.com first reported the new location in June.
According to county records, JFS Holdings, LLC, a North Carolina company registered to Phil C. Lanning, purchased the east Marion County property in April 2024 for $935,000. Prior to the sale, the 9-acre property had remained in the same owner’s possession for nearly 26 years dating back to July 1998.
Established in 1938 by Charles. E. Schmidt, Sr., there are currently over 2,210 Tractor Supply locations in operation across the United States.
When the new location opens, it will join three others in operation in Marion County at 7351 N U.S. Highway 441 (Ocala), 1751 SW 134th St (Ocala), and 11242 N Williams Street (Dunnellon).

Tractor Supply sells goods and services tailored to farms, ranches, homes, and livestock. That includes livestock and equine feed and equipment, fencing, trailers and towing hitches, pesticides, and pet food, among many other products.
