A new Raising Cane’s in Ocala, which seems to be nearing completion, is now hiring for its first location in the city.
Raising Cane’s is actively hiring managers for its first location in Ocala, which is under construction at 2410 SW College Road (SR 200), within the Ocala West shopping plaza.
The new chicken restaurant has not yet announced an opening date. Ocala-News.com reported news of the first Raising Cane’s in Ocala in November 2024.
A year later, walls were up at the site in southwest Ocala. Now, just ten weeks after our last update, the building has progressed to near completion.
The new location in Ocala is owned by Raising Cane’s, which has been aggressively expanding its company’s footprint throughout the United States in recent years. Founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, there are now over 900 Raising Cane’s restaurants across the world as of the end of 2025.
Since our last report ten weeks ago, that represents an increase of more than three dozen new stores.
There are at least 26 locations built or planned across the state of Florida, including one in Gainesville and multiple locations in Orlando. The first restaurant in Orlando opened in late 2023.

Raising Cane’s menu features chicken fingers, sandwiches, fries, coleslaw, and a few more items. When it opens, the restaurant will be situated in an outparcel between RaceWash and Twistee Treat. It joins several other new developments and retailers in the area, including Mission Inn BBQ, Tropical Smoothie, and the city’s first standalone Baskin Robbins.
