The Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s April event has already generated over $50 million in sales, including two top horses that were sold for over $4 million total.
With the first two days in the books at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Spring 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, records maintained by OBS show that over 300 horses have been sold for a whopping $50,805,000.
Thus far, the top-selling horse was hip number 570, who was sired by champion Thoroughbred Jackie’s Warrior. That horse was purchased by Dermot Farrington for $2.3 million.
The second-highest selling horse, who was sired by Epicenter, commanded $1.95 million from agents Ben McElroy and Justin Case on behalf of Amo Racing and Wavertree consignment.
The 4-day sale, which concludes on Friday, April 17, comes just weeks after OBS concluded its March Sale with a record-setting $72,050,000 in total gross sales.

Founded in 1974, Ocala Breeders’ Sales is a Thoroughbred auction house specializing in the sales of racehorses. The main Ocala Breeders Sales’ facility is located at 1701 SW 60th Avenue in Ocala.
In 2025, OBS sold over 2,100 horses for a combined $183.6 million across its various seasonal auctions, including major events in April and June.
