Shelves at the Winn-Dixie in Belleview are barren as the store prepares to close its doors in the coming days and begin its conversion into an ALDI.
The Winn-Dixie located at 11310 U.S. Highway 301 in Belleview is winding down operations as it prepares for its upcoming transition into an ALDI.
On Friday, photos shared by local resident Raquel Alderman show merchandise in the store is heavily discounted from anywhere between 50 and 70% off.

According to a running list maintained by MyFloirdaRetail.com, the Winn-Dixie in Belleview is scheduled to close on May 17.
The closure of another Winn-Dixie in Marion County comes amidst an ever-changing landscape for the grocery chain.

In addition to the store in Belleview, the store at 7131 N U.S. Highway 441 in Ocala will also transition into an ALDI.
In March, a Winn-Dixie replaced the Harveys Supermarket in Ocala.
In January, a Walmart Neighborhood Market replaced another old Winn-Dixie in southeast Ocala.
Last June, the Winn-Dixie in Marion Oaks was replaced by an ALDI.
