A 21.9-acre horse farm in Reddick has been sold for $2.9 million, adding to the ever-growing list of high-value equine real estate transactions in Marion County this year.
Russell and Peter Morgan sold the property to Cliff Drysdale for $2,900,000 on Friday, July 24, according to a deed filed with the Marion County Clerk of Courts.
Located at 11901 NW 83rd Terrace in the Brookfield Annex area of Reddick, the property features a 4,378-square-foot main residence built in 2001 that includes four bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Inside, the home offers high ceilings and tile flooring throughout, with a family room that opens to a screened-in pool and outdoor living area. The surrounding landscape features mature live oak trees and a private pond.
Equestrian amenities on the property include an eight-stall block barn equipped with feed and tack rooms, a round pen, and a five-bay equipment garage.
Above the barn, the space features a separate two-bedroom, two-bathroom guest or farm manager’s apartment with a screened porch overlooking the pond.
The $2.9 million transaction continues a steady wave of major equine and agricultural property sales across Marion County over the past several months.
Earlier this month, JG Ranch, a nearly 15-acre horse farm in Summerfield, was sold for $1,031,500.
Before that, a 10-acre equestrian estate in southwest Ocala was sold for $1.325 million, a 40-acre farm in west Marion County was sold for $1.2 million, another local horse farm fetched $1.5 million, and an equine breeding facility was acquired for $5 million.
Earlier this year, a 600-acre tract in west Marion County was acquired for $6 million by a luxury horse farm developer, while a northwest Marion County farm was sold for $2.45 million.
