The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for helping in identifying a woman who became enraged at an ATM machine and then broke into a bank earlier this month.
The woman was caught on surveillance cameras on Oct. 11 at about 4:15 a.m. at the Bank of America located at 7976 SW Hwy. 200 in Ocala. She was unsuccessful at getting money from the branch’s ATM and then became visibly upset.
She then used a tool to break the glass front door at the bank and briefly entered the building before apparently becoming spooked by the alarm and fleeing the scene, a sheriff’s office report states.
Anyone with information about the woman or the incident is encouraged to call Det. Todd Tucker at (352) 402-6081. Anyone wishing to make an anonymous tip can call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at (352) 368-STOP (7867). Tips also can be submitted at www.ocalacrimestoppers.com.
Those using Crime Stoppers are asked to reference 18-86 in your tip. And if a tip leads to an arrest, the caller might be eligible for a cash reward.
