Students in grades 9-12 are invited to engage in two days of career exploration with experts in the electric utility industry. Through live demonstrations, hands-on tours, and engaging discussion, students will discover craft, technical and STEM-related (science, technology, engineering and math) career fields in the electric utility industry.
The event will be held on June 21 and 22 at the College of Central Florida Hampton Center (1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd). The deadline to register is June 10. Anyone can register at: https://yea2019ocl.eventbrite.com
Each participant will need to register and have a permission slip. A continental breakfast will be provided from 7:30 a.m.- 8:15 a.m. The academy begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. each day. Continental breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided each day, and closed toe shoes are required.
