Intermittent lane closures announced for southeastern Marion County

Intermittent lane closures can be expected in southeastern Marion County in the coming months.

The closures will allow equipment to maneuver within the county’s rights-of-way between Feb. 3-April 30 as Sumter Electric Cooperative trims trees along overhead power lines.

The following subdivisions will experience intermittent lane closures:

  • Edgewater Estates
  • Orange Blossom Hills
  • Pinehurst
  • Pinehurst First Addition

The following roadways with the boundaries of Lake Weir Shores subdivision will be affected:

  • SE 100th Avenue, from SE Sunset Harbor Road to SE 130th Street
  • SE 132nd Place, from SE 100th Avenue to SE 110th Court

Intermittent lane closures may also affect travelers within the boundaries of U.S. Highway 301 to S U.S. Highway 441 and County Road 42 to SE 135th Street:

  • SE 73rd Avenue, from County Road 42 to SE 147th Place
  • SE 80th Avenue, from County Road 42 to SE 135th Street
  • SE 135th Street, from U.S. 301 to S U.S. Hwy. 441
  • SE 147th Place, from SE 73rd Avenue to S U.S. Hwy. 441
  • SE 84th Terrace, from its southern end to SE 147th Place
  • County Road 42, from U.S. 301 to SE 80th Avenue

Crews will place barricades and signs to direct traffic through the work zones. Travelers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible.
