Gerald Edward “Jerry” Kittle, Sr., age 79, of Ocala, Florida, passed away at his home on November 8, 2022. He was born on December 13, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan. He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Gertrude (Schmarsh) Kittle, sister Darlene and brother David.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Ruth (Mikesell) Steele-Kittle, son Jerry (Charlene) Kittle, Jr., two step sons, James Steele and Paul Steele, brother Joe Donner and sister Kim Donner, three granddaughters Marissa, Olivia and Abbygail, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jerry received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University. He worked as an accounting controller with Don Blackburn and Co. and at Brooks & Perkins, was a member of the Romulus Michigan Chamber of Commerce, on the board of directors of the Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan (formerly Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan) and on the board for the City of Romulus Park and Recreation Department.
He was an avid outdoors person that enjoyed activities with family, friends and his beloved dogs that included golf, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle and also loved karaoke.
