Parts manager at Gainesville Harley-Davidson killed in weekend motorcycle accident

The parts manager at Gainesville Harley-Davidson was killed in a weekend motorcycle accident.

Todd Dwight Kirby, 44, of Gainesville, had been riding his 1999 Harley-Davidson at 3:39 p.m. Sunday southbound on County Road 225 in Alachua County when he lost control of the motorcycle, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. He had been going around a sharp curve when the motorcycle left the roadway and overturned.

Kirby was transported to UF Shands Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He had not been wearing a helmet, the report noted.
