Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to Hemlock Lane in Ocala in reference to a domestic physical disturbance between siblings, according to an arrest affidavit. Upon arrival, they heard screaming coming from inside the residence, the affidavit stated.

A deputy observed 27-year-old Jessica Lynn Perales restrained on the ground by a victim. He then observed Perales to have a hold on another victim, refusing to let her go. The victim restraining Perales advised the deputy that he was holding Perales down to stop her from causing further harm to the victim she was holding. After advising the victim to let go of Perales so that deputies could restrain Perales and pull her off the victim, Perales began to kick her legs and swing her arms at the deputies as they attempted to pull her off. Both deputies attempted to grab each of her arms to place her in handcuffs, but she pulled her arms away and continued to kick her legs, striking a deputy in the right shoulder with her foot deflecting to his face, knocking his eyeglasses off. Both deputies were eventually able to place her under arrest and put her in the patrol vehicle.

In the vehicle, Perales proceeded to hit her head on the divide and kick the back windows of the patrol vehicle. Both deputies placed a hobble on her legs to prevent her from kicking, but Perales bit one of the deputies on his left hand during the process.

Medics were requested to the incident location in reference to a medical check for Perales and both victims. Perales was transported to Munroe Regional Medical Center, where she was cleared.

Perales was arrested on two counts of battery, one count of resisting with violence and two counts of simple domestic battery. She was transported to Marion County Jail.
