A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash on Thursday afternoon in Marion County.
Jalisia Tuggle, 30, of Ocala was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry at 1:30 p.m. northbound in the left turn lane of County Road 25A approaching NW 11th Place, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report. George McGee, 66, of Reddick was riding a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling southbound on CR 25A, approaching the same intersection as Tuggle, the report stated. Tuggle failed to see McGee and proceeded to turn left in front of McGee’s oncoming motorcycle. McGee applied his brakes before the front of Tuggle’s vehicle collided with the right corner of his motorcycle. He was thrown off his motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
McGee had not been wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Tuggle was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.
