Juvenile turned over to parents after thefts at Ocala boating store

Millers Boating Center

A Marion County Sheriff’s deputy was called to Millers Boating Center Thursday in Ocala after a male juvenile was recorded on video taking items from the store.
The owner of the store told the deputy that he was familiar with the suspect, who could be seen on two different recordings concealing or putting on clothing before exiting the store without paying for the items, the report states.
The deputy then met with the male juvenile and his parents, with the boy admitted to stealing the items, the report states. The juvenile gave the deputy everything he took and it was returned to the store, which is located at 1661 NW 57th St. in Ocala.
The boy was arrested and turned over to his parents on a Florida Department of Juvenile Justice referral.
