A man who was working in Stonecrest called a Marion County sheriff’s deputy Thursday after discovering his reel trailer was missing.
The man, who met the deputy at the north entrance to the subdivision, said the trailer was black and had two vertical posts and a crossbar holding large spools of wire. He said the trailer had a spindle axle instead of a straight axle. And he said it had no fenders, no jack and a two-inch ball hitch that he had installed to replace the standard pintle wing hitch.
The man said the trailer was worth about $1,500, the report says.
